About This Programme
This qualification is delivered over 15 days in The Barker & Bowes Training Academy with practical and theoretical elements (additional theory work to be completed at home). No previous grooming experience is required.
iPET Network Level 3 Certificate in Dog Grooming and Introduction to Styling

During the course, you will groom a minimum of 10 dogs covering 6 different breeds but often many more. There are no pre-requisites to starting the course (subject to an initial informal conversation), meaning you can join at level 3 without having completed a lower level (level 2) course first.
Once you have gained this qualification, you can continue your studies and move onto the iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management and gain your 'Fully Qualified Dog Groomer' status. There is a mandatory informal conversation to assess suitability with the Academy Director as part of the application process.
On this course, you will be trained in practical skills such as prepping, bathing, scissoring, clipping and nail trimming.

301: Health and Safety in a Dog Grooming Environment
302: Promote the Welfare of Dogs conforming with Relevant Legislation
304: Assess and Plan Dog Grooming Styles and Maintenance of Equipment
305: Health Checking, Handling and Canine Behaviour
317: Prepare, Style and Finish a Selection of Dog Breeds
You will be continually assessed via practical demonstration and coursework meaning you don’t have to sit a daunting exam in order to achieve the qualification. This holistic approach has been welcomed by novice dog groomers around the globe. This course will leave you confident and competent to style a selection of breeds to client requirements. But for those keen to continue learning when this qualification is completed, we offer a reduced rate of €2500 to complete the additional 15 days training required for the iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management.
